Mission Statement

Our association is dedicated to serving beekeepers in the Kanawha Valley region of southern West Virginia. It is our goal to educate people in the art of beekeeping, promote activities of interest to beekeepers and other interested persons.

Meetings

Our meetings are being held at:
Dunbar Branch Library
301 12th St Dunbar, WV 25064.

Meetings are usually scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of every other month from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Check out our calendar for exact dates.
This is subject to change due to the availability of the room and/or speakers.

Bee Yard
Some of our meetings are held at the Bee Yard
40 Weeping Willow Lane Elkview, WV 25071.

Directions: Coming from Charleston, take I-79 to the Elkview Exit. Turn right off the exit, go 0.5 miles to a 4-way stop sign. Turn Left onto 119 and go for 2 miles. The Bee Yard will be on the right.

The meetings at the Bee Yard will be announced beforehand in the calendar.

Officers are elected by the membership every two years. Election will be held at November 2024 meeting.

KVBA membership is $12 a year for an individual or family.

Membership is open to beekeepers and other interested persons.

To join our association, attend our meeting, provide your information to the Secretary, and pay the membership fee to the Treasurer.
